Logo

A logo is the most recognizable component of a company’s visual identity system. It uniquely and most commonly identifies the brand.

The Novozymes logo consists of two parts (see below detailed explanations):

Elements
The logo embodies the fusion of man, nature and technology inherent to Novozymes and its offerings: the modern, sans serif typeface suggests technology, the organic design of the clover represents nature, and the artistic brush stroke of light illustrates the presence and influence of man.NZ31-1.jpg

Wordmark and tagline
The Novozymes wordmark is identical to that used in the old corporate visual identity. It was created using a type designed exclusively for the Novo group of companies. Carrying this element into the current visual identity helps ensure that Novozymes’ relationship to its holding company remains transparent.

The tagline should be used with the wordmark for most communications (cf. below to the left). The tagline should only be omitted (cf. below to the right) in instances where space is an issue (i.e. giveaways like a pen) or on applications that may be in use for longer than the tagline itself (like building signage).

Icon
An icon is the signature mark of a brand. It can indicate the company in the absence of all other text and graphic elements. The clover icon represents this defining mark for Novozymes.

The Novozymes clover is an organic abstraction of the company’s former visual identity. The softened effect created by the brush stroke positions the company as classic, modern and creative.NZ33-1.jpg

Supergraphic
The supergraphic is an expanded version of the clover icon. It is cropped to suggest dynamic and free movement, symbolizing the uninhibited expression of the Novozymes brand. It serves to increase the visual impact of the logo’s graphic element, and is intended for use on less formal, more marketing-based Novozymes communication pieces and various branding purposes.

Please note that the supergraphic must always be cropped.

More about the logo
The Novozymes logo represents innovation and boundless potential. It is an evolution of the previous corporate logo to suggest progressing forward without losing the foundations of knowledge built in the past. Its dynamic nature conveys movement and suggests a forward facing vision,while its artistic quality illustrates the art of science. The metallic gold of the icon mimics the luster of light and reflects the high-end quality of the Novozymes’ brand. As a whole, the logo celebrates a positive blend of man, nature and technology.
