Typography style guidelines must be observed to maintain consistency across all Novozymes applications. This guidance maximizes the aesthetic value of the Frutiger font family and ensures the proper weight is given to the various text components of a layout.

Main titles

Font		Frutiger 55 Roman
Size		16-36 pt
Leading		21-30 pt (determined by font size)
Kerning		-5 pt

Main titles should be set with sentence case. However, for short headlines, main title and large callouts (5 words or less) it is optional to use all caps - if you use all caps for headlines in one part of the communication, you have to use it all throughtout the entire communication piece.

Headines should be set at size 12-20 pt, depending on the size on the main title, cf. example below.

Paragraphs should be predominantly left justified but may be forced justified as needed.

 

Subheads

Font		Frutiger 65 Bold
Size		Subheads should maintain the same point size as body copy, i.e. 10-12 pt.
Leading		14-18 (determined by font size)
Kerning		0

Body copy

Font		Frutiger 45 Light is the primary weight for all body copy, but for occasions where a slightly heavier weight is needed, Frutiger 55 Roman maybe used.
Size		10-12 pt. Allow layout constraints to determine the point size for body copy.
Leading		16-18 (determined by font size)
Kerning		0

Body copy should be predominantly left justified but may be force justified as needed.

Disclaimers

Font		Frutiger 55 Roman
Size		7-9 pt. Set disclaimers 3 points smaller then body copy. If necessary, disclaimer point size can be 4 points less then body copy, never dropping below a point size of 6.
Leading		10-12 pt (determined by font size)

Size		8-10 pt. Set captions 2 points smaller then body copy. If necessary, caption point size can be 3 points less then body copy, never dropping below a point size of 7.

Type		Standard, round bullets
Size		80% of size of bulleted statement.
Space after		Use two full spaces between bullet and first letter of statement.
